Live WritePad Training With Dr. Arkfeld Review & Added Date: Sept 29

We had a WritePad training with Dr. Ted Arkfeld, DC, MS, CPC. Thursday, Sept 8th.  It went very well with great tips, good comments, and a general sense of "yes, I can do this".  Being the lucky duck who gets to sit in on the classes I also live tweeted throughout the day.  I have collected those tweets for you here.  For some they might be reminders they forgot to note, for others I'm hoping you'll see a couple of things that might help your office or inspire you to learn more. Here are the notes:

• Dr. Arkfeld’s WritePad Training Seminar take 2, will be Sept 29th
• We are a packed house this morning. Dr.Arkfeld is going through WritePad options that make office life good.
• VPA is your friend & you can customize how your pats sign in with it and customize your workflows for them. Virtual Patient Assistant
• If you want to use WritePad to get the stimulus funds- make sure to call them & get the ePrescription module ASAP...a must have to qualify.
• If you couldn't make the WritePad class today, we are having another one on Sept 29, 9-5pm Warren, MI More Info (below)
• Master Screens & Workflows- customizing for your likes is King. Don't forget to check the new reports either- there are often new ones
• New workflows- added all the time may bring new game to your office. Don't forget to open them, check them out & see if you like them better
• Help yourself by pre-"checking" workflow screens for the "norm" or "most common" responses then you only have tweak the items that aren't.
• Ortho-neuro tests- Don't use every option on the list? Subtract the ones you don't use, then put the rest in the order you do use them.
• Your workflow- if you aren't currently doing vital signs- You need to now for meaningful use. Buy a cuff from Walmart & start!

• WritePad is doing fairly regular updates- if you check your copy it should be close to version 8.031, if you are too far off- update.
