Genius Sponsors MAC district Meeting in March

In the good ol' days of practice you would submit your claims to Medicare receive payment end of story, but now that doesn't even begin the the story, let alone end it.  Just because you got paid does not mean that you coded your claim properly, nor does it prove that the care was "medically necessary".  Incorrect coding and lack of documented medical necessity are the basis for ever increasing negative post-payment audits.  The audits are regularly followed by the inevitable demand for repayment.  It has been said that it is not a matter of IF you will be audited, but a matter of WHEN you will be audited.  Don't hide in fear of an audit, do it right, do it right now, and tell them to "bring it on" with confidence.

MAC is the Michigan Association of Chiropractors.  Districts 1,2,&,3 will all be meeting together March 10 at Pasquale's in Royal Oak.

Genius Solutions will be sponsoring the District Meeting, as well as sponsoring the speaker for the evening, Dr. Ted Arkfeld of Advanced Compliance Technologies.

Dr. Arkfeld will be speaking about "The Good Ol' Days" of Medicare submission and payment, as well as why Electronic Health Records are your future.  Dr. Arkfeld will cover the following topics, plus:
  • What Triggers a Medicare Audit
  • What you should and should not do when undergoing a Medicare Audit
  • Ways to Avoid a Medicare Audit
  • Why Electronic Medical Records are crucial in today’s healthcare

Pasquale's Restaurant is located at
